A.I.-V.R. Museum

INTRODUCTION

Our FAMU-FSU VR Museum is designed to highlight the dynamic relationship between the arts and sciences, showcasing how AI can influence creative endeavors. Our goal is to educate, inspire, and immerse visitors in both the history of engineering and the boundless potential of virtual reality.

Through VR headsets and AI-driven content, users explore specialized “wings,” each themed for a unique experience—covering topics like game development, fashion, sculpture, cultural exhibits, and advanced engineering concepts.

CURRENT EXHIBITS

We’ve split the Museum into 3 main wings:

  • A.I. Arcade — Real or AI? Quiz, AI Maze Exhibits, Game Objects
  • Education Exploration — Planetarium Exhibits and Animal / Dino Model Showcases
  • History Wing — Different history exhibits ranging from C.O.E. to A.I. history

New / WIP Exhibits:

  • Planetarium — Planets to scale with AI-generated descriptions
  • Maze Room — Generated by AI algorithms
  • Upside Down Room — Inverted gravity for a novel VR perspective
  • Animal Room — Florida wildlife exhibits and interactive “live” sculptures
  • Classical Music Room — AI-generated classical tunes and historical context

FINAL CONCEPT

Our VR Museum is divided into multiple themed wings:

  • Games Wing — Engaging Maze room, gamified experiences, and quizzes
  • History Wing — Celebrations of engineering milestones, classical music, and significant cultural events
  • Educational Exploration Wing — Animal exhibits, space/planetarium, and interactive AI demos

AI features are integrated to generate real-time dialogues, exhibit explanations, and creative assets (art, voice, text).

PRELIMINARY DESIGN / ITERATIONS

  • A VR headset for immersive user interaction
  • A computer running the VR environment (lobby + 3 wings)
  • AI APIs for generative content (images, voice lines, text, possibly layout suggestions)

The museum starts in a central lobby, with easy access to each wing. We plan to implement interactive elements like quizzes, NPC tour guides, and voice-activated controls for deeper immersion.

TESTING RESULTS

We have built prototype rooms, tested basic AI integrations, and verified that users find the VR environment both intuitive and engaging. Early feedback highlights high immersion and curiosity about AI-generated content.
