My
name is Conrad R Webley Jr.I
was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Maryland where I attended
elementary through junior high school until 1992.During
my years of junior high school is when I actually decided that I wanted
to go into the field of mechanical engineering.I
was fascinated by how machinery had worked. In those years I have taken apart
radios, televisions and remote control cars to either attempt to fix it
or add more features to the other. My
father, who is an electrical engineer, had also inspired me to at least
consider going into the engineering field. After
junior high school I had moved to Jacksonville, FL to attend high school. In
my junior year of high school I was looking for colleges in which I would
be able to pursue my engineering career. My first and original choice was
to go to Georgia Tech, but admissions were very strict on being accepted
into that school.After
asking my guidance counselor for help on well known schools for their engineering
programs.I
was informed about a school called Florida A & M University.After
graduating in 1996 from high school I was ready to go forward on my career
to become a mechanical engineer at Florida A & M University.These
college years have not been easy. But
through these years of college I have learned a lot more about what the
real world would be like when I graduate.
