Information Saltwater Flume Temperature Regulator Project

  Saltwater Flume Temperature Regulator Project
 Objective

To determine the best solution to the problem of removing excess heat in a
        saltwater flume.

 Background

Housed at the FSU Marine Laboratory, is a saltwater flume.  This flume is used to
conduct many different tests and experiments involving saltwater.  The system that is
currently being used has a setup of four 1hp pumps.  These pumps are adding excess
heat to the water in the flume, which affects the experiments being conducted.

Coastal Research Inc.  has been commissioned by Dr. Thistle to erase this
problem in two semesters (Fall 2000 and Spring 2001).
