Creating a set of 2D latitudes using AutoCAD:
The original longitudes given to the team by Dr. Harrison contained section markers that were copied and trimmed
as shown
.
The original and trimed latitude markers were then located
as shown
.
Next, lines were drawn as between the latitude markers
as shown
.
A radius of 400mm was added to the vertex
as shown
.
The upper section was moved to the top of the centerline latitude marker
as shown
.
Next, the edge latitude markers were exteneded upwards
as shown
.
Finally, radii of 50mm were added to the four corners
as shown
.
