John Maatsch

John Joseph Maatsch was born in Fort Myers, Florida on April 3, 1980. He attended high school at Bishop Verot High School.

With his long time interest in the space industry, he chose a path that would lead him to his goals, beginning with

Mechanical Engineering. He has worked with Dr. Chiang Shih in several capacities, ranging from work at the Fluid Mechanics Research Lab to helping in the design of new courses. He plans on attending Georgia Institute of Technology in the fall to obtain

his Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering in the program of System Design and Optimization.

Senior Design: "Senior Design is a very unique class. It gives us a perspective on how to utilize our technical skills. By the end of the course it provides the abilities needed to tackle the workplace in ways that other students will not."
