The Eglin 2 Project Objective
LADAR Laser Radar project involves the redesign of the receiver element assembly in the prototype currently being tested at the Eglin laser research lab. The current system has performance issues when subject to a rise of ambient air temperature. This is of great concern since the LADAR system is used as a range finder over great distances and cannot be confined to conditioned air facilities.
