Project Constraints
Tetrahedral Array Constraints
Array must have tetrahedral geometry
Must be able to adapt to NASA RDS
Tetrahedral array cannot interfere with any existing sensors other than the omni-directional camera
All microphones must be orientated upward and lie in the horizontal plane
When collapsed, the array must not protrude outside the overall footprint of the RDS
Overall height of the tetrahedral array must add no more than 25% to the existing robot height
Microphones must be spaced 20 inches apart
Must be remotely collapsible
Must dampen mechanical vibrations
Low Cost
Lightweight
Components must be off-the-shelf
T-Base Array Constraints
Array must have tetrahedral geometry
Must be able to adapt to VEX robot
All microphones must face upward and lie in the horizontal plane
Must be able to dampen mechanical vibrations
Microphones must be spaced 10 inches apart
Lightweight
Low-Cost
Use as many off-the-shelf components as possible
