Moving Armor Target Track

Preliminary Designs: System 2

• Because of the large amount of moment that could possibly be generated by the target in high winds a “up-stop” wheel is needed

• This stops the cart from tipping over

• All wheels used are off the shelf products

• This “under-wheel” is on the outside of the track instead of the inside.

• This means the supports will have to be just on the other side of the track to limit the stress in supports.

• This can be added after the cart is loaded on the track.

• This Concept works by using secondary wheels that run on a notched track.

• It can be attached to the car itself or the primary wheels.

• This configuration can help to resist horizontal and vertical forces, thus keeping the car on track
