Robby Allbritton is a Florida State University student from who was born and raised in Tallahassee. Upon completion of his bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robby hopes to obtain a local engineering job in order to stay close to his family. Robby is an active leader in his church and spends his free time playing and practicing with his church band. He chose the Autonomous Lawn Mower project because it was a very hands-on, goal oriented project.
Alison Goodwin is originally from Clearwater, Florida. She attends the College of Engineering at Florida State University for mechanical engineering. She chose the autonomous lawnmower project to supplement her studies in Dynamic Systems focusing on autonomous robots. After graduation, she hopes to work in the Tampa area while pursuing a Masters Degree.
Salina Songha is a Florida A&M University mechanical engineering student who is originally from the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia, PA. After graduation she would like to go on to work in the mechanical engineering field for two to three years and then return to school to attain her graduate degree. She plans to continue to play a major role in her community and stay active in volunteer organizations and mentoring programs.
Peter DeRoche is a graduating senior from Tallahassee, Florida. Peter will be receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the conclusion of the Spring ’06 term. Peter will continue his education in the Florida State mechanical engineering graduate program. Starting in the Summer ’06, Peter will be a graduate research assistant at the Fluid Mechanics Research Laboratory at FSU working under Dr. Krothapalli. Peter’s future career goals include working in the Renewable Energy industry and helping relieve the world of its dependence on fossil fuels. Peter’s role in this design project was to design the chassis and mechanical systems of the lawnmower. Peter was also the lead team member in charge of all fabrication and assembly of the autonomous lawnmower.
