Machining of all the parts was done using the lathe and the mill. All round plates, shafts, spools, and spacers were turned down using the lathe. Some gears modification were also required and performed with the same machine. The slight modification of the gear caused a misalignment of the inner planetary system that created binding of the gear teeth. This problem was solved by wearing down the gears using the electric power of the motors. |

Shaping of rectangular plates, cutting of key ways, and drilling of holes was done on the mill. The mill was also used to tap and countersink a majority of the holes. The digital readout connected to the mill was used to correctly drill all holes in the right place. |
