Welding was performed on the frame of the system. We chose steel members to build a rectangular shape that supports the entire mechanism. The following figure is a representation of the welding done on the frame. The angular members are used to prevent a trapezoidal collapse when outside forces such as line tension are applied to the mechanism. These members also allow easy access to the motors and motor controllers.
