My interests are
playing guitar, doing well in school, and finding a job. I like the Cubs, the Seahawks, and the
Magic. Now I am a senior taking
Metallurgy, Thermal Fluid Design, and Senior Design. I’m excited about doing something in
senior design that will be used for a real purpose and I’m glad the project
is defined well. I’m thinking I
might pursue a career in fluid design, but depending on how this project
goes I might work with manufacturing processes.
John Brewer
I am 5th
year senior in Mechanical Engineering at Florida State
University. I was
borne and raised in Marianna,
FL. I recently received a pilot slot through
Air Force ROTC. I will commission
April 26th, 2008. I will
begin pilot training in June of 2008.
Every little boy wants to be a fighter pilot. I just haven’t grown up. I’m a gearhead
at heart. My baby is a red 1979
Corvette. Next in line is my
Harley-Davidson Nightster. I also love to spend an
afternoon blazing trails on my ATV.
I’ve been dating my girlfriend for over four years. We are planning to get married but we
have to work around her Medical
School and my
training. There is some irony in my
participation in this project because, as a future pilot, I should hate UAV’s. However, I recognize the
power this technology can deliver to the warfighter
and the impact it can have on our nations security.
Darnell Brown
My name
is Darnell Brown. My birthday is May
13, 1981. I am a mechanical
engineering senior at Florida
State University. My interests in the field are machines,
specializing in thermal fluids, and design.
I am still finding my other interests in the field. My interests outside the field are
soccer, racquetball, jazz, poetry, and learning about various items that
inspire curiosity.
I was born in Orlando,
Florida and raised in Titusville, Florida
(the location where the space shuttles are launched). My experience as a student is obtained an
A.A. from Brevard Community College, some classes at the University of Central
Florida and my goal to obtain a B.S.M.E from Florida State University. I am also considering getting a master’s
degree in engineering and a degree in philosophy.
Outside of school, my goals are to
sky surf, perhaps visit another country, race in one the BAJA races or
something close, become fluent in another language, and patent some
ideas.
Rob Contes
I am a
fifth year senior towards Mechanical Engineering bachelors and prefer going
by Rob. My grades are average but I
excel at group work and projects. My
interests are computers and sports, only one of which will help out in our
work. I am currently studying finite
element analysis as one of my electives which should help with preliminary
structural analysis. I am always interested
in military technology, as they are always at the leading edge of the
curve. I could easily sit and watch
a full days marathon on the subject on history
channel, and am ecstatic that I can have a hand in its history, no matter
how minute. Be assured that you can
count on me and I can honestly say that I see a lot of potential in our
group.
