Solider Portable UAV
The Design Build Fly competition is sponsored by Cessna Aircraft Company, Raytheon Missile Systems, and the AIAA Foundation. This competition is designed to provide students with vital exposure to the real world aircraft development process. Through completion of the compentition, each participant will have valuable experience that will follow them into the industry.

Fixed wing

Electric powered (NiCad or NiMH batteries)

Propeller driven

Must be stored within a carry on bag while not in use

Max propulsion battery weight of 3/4 lbs

Max current draw of 20 amps

Mission 1: Dash to critical target
-
4 minutes without payload to obtain maximum number of laps

Mission 2: Ammo resupply

Steel bar payload completing 3 laps

Mission 3: Medical supply mission

Golf ball payload completing 3 laps
