2. Project Objectives/tasks
Breakdown: As stated in an e-mail from our sponsor: �NASA has an existing Martian Lander with several technologies on the deck. The Lander will generate power via a hydrogen fuel cell. This power needs to be transferred to excavators on the surface to charge batteries aboard excavators.� |
3. What was
accomplished the last two weeks on individual tasks- representative
supporting data/ documents� The team has finished all of the CAD drawings. (Dean) The team has finished design of all physical components. (Dean, Tyler, James) The team has continued testing of the current recharging circuit available onboard the ATRV-Jr. (Itiel, Luke) The electrical circuit has been designed/selected and approved by NASA. (Itiel, Luke) The team has shared current design progress with Van Townsend. (Entire Team)

encountered and actions taken (and by whom) Waiting on purchase orders to come in (ordered through NASA). Until today, no progress was indicated in several communications (both e-mail and telephone) with the sponsor, but in an e-mail received today, the sponsor indicated that the purchase order has been placed. He asked for confirmation that all parts have been ordered. (James) |
