Background
Efficient Systems, LLC is a Tallahassee start‐up that intends to develop Electric bike (E‐bike) sharing
solutions for companies, cities and communities. Currently our partner in South America El
TomaCorriente has three E‐bike Sharing programs in place with 90 E‐bikes in service aside from the
retail operation. The intent of Efficient Systems is to bring E‐Bike sharing solutions to Tallahassee
businesses and communities as a viable alternative to conventional transportation.

Purpose
This project is for the design of a high tech E‐Bike charging station that includes the following features:
‐  Rapid Charging
‐  Minimum user interaction to activate
‐  Serves as a bike locking mechanism

Scope
The E‐bike charging station will be custom built around the design of the E‐bike designed provided by
Efficient Systems, LLC. The system should provide a charging solution that will be able to provide the
most optimal charge for the E‐Bike Battery (The E‐bikes use Li Ion Batteries) The charging mechanism
also should have in mind constant connect and disconnect  of the bicycles. Ideally the charging system
will require no metal to metal contact (use resonance or induction)
