Electric Vehicle Range Extension.

Cummins Inc., a global power leader, is a corporation of complementary business segments that design, manufacture, distribute and service diesel and natural gas engines and related technologies, including fuel systems, controls, air handling, filtration, emission solutions and electrical power generation systems.

Cummins Inc. being a world leader in power systems has tasked Team 2 with continuing last year's project of extending the range of an electric vehicle through non traditional power adders. Team 2 will use the previous year's integrated systems as well as new components to meet the goals set forth by Cummins.

Team 2 has finished the conceptual design phase and will be moving forward with purchasing parts for this semester. They will be purchasing a solar panel and a few components for generator optimization which should bring the EV to 15% or more range increase.
