Project Overview

Team 515 of the FAMU-FSU Department of Mechanical Engineering is designing a device to save lives. The device combines the benefits of high frequency oscillatory ventilation and conventional ventilation. It treats patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). ARDS stems from injuries to the lung, such as COVID-19. The device connects in series to a conventional ventilator.
