About the Project

What is the Complete Composter?

The objective of this project is to design an automated device that increases the efficiency and accessibility of composting to the public.

  • As our society grows, it becomes vital to develop and improve the methods for maintaining resources. In addition, consumers and farmers alike are paying more than ever to promote the food industry needed to sustain the global population.
  • Overfilling of landfills can be reduced by reusing waste, leading to the additional benefit of a reduction in harmful emissions. We decided to take a unique approach to tackle these issues by designing an autonomous composter, usable by anyone at any scale.
  • The Complete Composter's purpose is to allow people from all walks of life to be able to easily participate in composting, and at the same time reduce their own personal food waste.
