External Heat Transfer
Can we extend the previous analysis to include the situation that some external heat transfer conditions are given, rather than that the surface temperature is given. Example: Pipe flow buried underground with insulation. In that case, the heat transfer is first from the fluid to the pipe wall through convection; then followed by the conduction through the insulation layer; finally, heat is transferred to the soil surface by conduction.
