Student Evaluation

Grading is at the discretion of the instructors and grader.

Your numerical grade will normally be computed as follows:

Homework10%
Exam 125%
Exam 225%
Final Exam40%

The instructor considers your numerical letter grade to be equivalent to a letter grade according to the following table:

Numerical GradeLetter Grade
0-44 F
45-58 D
59-72 C
73-86 B
87-100A
However, this letter grade is not assigned. Instead, your thermo grade will be included as part of your total grade, with both your thermo grade and the grade scale above weighted by the thermo weight factor announced in the main syllabus. See there for details.
