Critical Fuel Flux

For heptane fuel sprays with 40 µm S.M.D., the active control was no longer effective when the secondary pulsed fuel flux was dropped below 8 % of the total fuel amount.

There is a minimum critical amount of controller fuel flux for maintaining proper control authority.

The critical fuel flux is expected to be a function of the actuator and the flow conditions.
