Phonoangiography
Non-Invasive technique for detecting arterial stenosis.
Proposed in 1970 by Lees & Dewey
Based on the following idea:
- Flow dowstream of severe stenoses is turbulent.

- Fluctuating pressure on the arterial wall produces sound which can can be detected externally.

- The spectrum of this sound can be correlated to the severity of the stenosis.

- Of some use but not very accurate
