The objective of this activity is to
- 1.
- use the commands in UNIX
- 2.
- transfer files between PCs and UNIX and between UNIX accounts using ftp
and mail
- 3.
- create files and edit them
- 4.
- use man pages
- 1.
- Form teams of maximum of four students and identify a captain, a
recorder, a spokesperson and a reflector.

- 2.
- Use Microsoft word to create a file in the D drive on your PC and
call that file as activity1. Record all activity actions in that file, start by stating who is the
captain, recorder , etc.
- 3.
- Each member of the team must telnet to his/her account in the wolf
machine, then create a
directory and call it as cppactivity
- 4.
- Each member of the team must transfer the file activity1 to his/her
account.
- 5.
- Check if you have the file in your account.
- 6.
- While in UNIX the captain start editing the file by adding his observation on the
process then transfer the file to recorder who will add his comment and then
transfer to spokesperson who will add his comment then transfer to the reflector
who will put his observation about the team activity.
- 7.
- Find the command you need to print on Printer (lablw1)
- 8.
- Find the command to move files between directories
- 9.
- Find the command to copy a file
- 10.
- The reflector will add the commands in the previous three request and then
email the file to the instructor.
