upOverview

For your first project, I want you to write a 250 word essay in Microsoft Word about why you want to be an Industrial Engineer. This essay will be one of the primary links off of your index page, so I want you to put some serious thought into it. Tell me more about who you are, what Industrial Engineers do, and why you will make a good engineer. I want a future employer to hit your website, read your essay (philosophy - mission statement) about why you want to be an engineer and say wow! I want to hire them! I understand this is a work in progress, but I am expecting some passionate essays. The grading guideline are outlined below. Notice that 50% of your grade will be determined by your use of grammar and spelling. Your essay must be typed or computer printed in courier 12 font. They must be doubled spaced with one inch margins on all sides. Your essays must be submitted in class on September 26 at the beginning of class. For everyday your essay is late I will deduct 10 points from your project grade. In addition I want you to have a copy of your essay on your computer so we can convert them into html documents.
