I was born in Bombay (now known as Mumbai), India and moved to New Delhi when I was three months old.  I attended the Mother's International School in New Delhi from 1970 to 1982 (kindergarten to twelfth grade) after which I joined the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi where I obtained a bachelors degree in chemical engineering in 1986.  I came to the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1986 where I got my masters degree (1987) as well as my doctoral degree (1992) in chemical engineering.  I moved to Tallahassee, Florida (retired!!!) after my Ph.D in 1992 and have been living here with my family since then.  

I love to travel and I have been to several places in India as well as the rest of the world.
