Due: 9/28/99

Problems:

2.20
2.21
2.22
2.24
3.36
3.79 Calculate the work

Answers:
2.20:p = 4.0 bars
2.21:V2 = 16.58 ft3; p2 = 53.31 ft/in2
2.22:1W2 = -12 kJ
2.24:1W2 = 80.5 kJ
3.36:1W2/m = -31.62 kJ/kg
3.79:Possibly 1W2 = 120 kJ (but I haven't done this one yet...
Hints:
2.21: You have 2 equation and 2 unknowns...
2.22: When states are LINEARLY related -- you can connect them with a STRAIGH LINE.   Then you may want to use geometry to determine the work (the area under the curve.
