The overall assessment of our teaching group was a positive one.  We learned far more in preparing for our teaching lab than we would have ever learned by just attending class.  The experience of presenting in front of a group of your peers and teaching is an experience that is very useful in the real world.  Also, preparing presentations in this format is a skill that will be very valuable in the real world.

Some of the improvements to our presentations included the making of the PowerPoint material.  In an effort to have the work done in an equal manner the tasks were split within the group.  This caused some problems during the teaching session.  This was because the person who was teaching wasn’t the same person who made all the slides.  This meant that the manner in which the lesson was being taught wasn’t the same as the order of the slides.  This made the lesson less affective, but was a lesson learned.  As for the group effort, our team worked will together and had equal involvement from all members.

In the end this assignment was meaningful and should be implemented more throughout the curriculum. It is one thing to learn the material and be able to do well when tested, but when you have to teach the material it truly makes for much better understanding of everything.
