General Overview

     This website gives a brief introduction to the finite element method (FEM) program Algor. To learn more about Algor go to www.algor.com. The three basic steps of FEM are covered focusing on the 1^st and 3^rd steps. (1)Pre-processing: creating a model using nodal points, boundary conditions etc. (2)Processing: Analyzes model for displacements, forces etc., then stores the data. (3)Post-processing: Numeric data output, visually show the displacements, stresses, strains etc.
