Design of an Turbine

Turbines consists of rotating members (rotors) and stationary members (stator) there are two types
nthradial flow and axial flow.  Axial flow turbines are most common in gas turbine engines. The purpose of a turbine is to extract energy from the hot flow and turn the compressor.
nThe nozzles redirect the flow back parallel with the axis.  nGenerally have multiple stages. A single turbine stage can drive several compressor stages.
