Salma Aboelmagd

Salma Aboelmagd received her B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2020, and her M.Sc. degree in Data Science and Engineering from Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar, in 2022.

She has conducted research in physical layer security for communication systems and has also worked with Inventus Power Qatar in research and development, contributing to innovative energy solutions. Her professional experience spans both academic and industrial domains, with a focus on applying advanced data-driven methods to real-world engineering challenges.

Her research interests include data-driven cyber-attack detection in cyber-physical systems — particularly involving unmanned aerial vehicles and power systems — as well as machine learning and anomaly detection. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Abdulrahman Takiddin at Florida State University.
