Dr. Wei Guo is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Florida State University and leads the cryogenics lab at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Brown University in 2008, conducted postdoctoral work at Yale University from 2008 to 2012, and joined Florida State University in 2012. His research spans quantum fluid dynamics, WIMP dark matter detection, cryogenic accelerator physics, quantum-fluid-based qubits, and liquid hydrogen aviation. Dr. Guo's work has received support from federal funding agencies and private foundations, such as the NSF, DOE, NASA, the Army Research Office, and the Betty Gordon Moore Foundation. He has also been honored with awards such as the JSPS Invitation Fellowship, the Moore Foundation EPI Award, and the Outstanding Research Accomplishment Award from the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. In 2023, Dr. Guo was elected as an American Physical Society Fellow. [CV]
