The Hydraulic Lab is primarily used
for teaching purposes. Through conducting experiments, students have
a better understand of basic concepts, and become familiar with hydraulic
data collection techniques. The lab has also been used to support
hydraulic research. For example, the open channel flume has been used by
engineers to calibrate field flow measurement instruments. At times, the
hydraulic lab is used to demonstrate hydraulic phenomena for general
science education.
