1989 – 1997: Associate Chairman, Department of Civil Engineering, FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, Tallahassee, Florida. Duties included course scheduling, hiring of adjunct faculty, space management, budgetary activities and acting occasionally as Chairman.
	1984 – 2005: Coordinator, Department Structures Area, FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, Tallahassee, Florida.  Duties have included curriculum development, course development, laboratory development, research coordination and faculty recruitment.
	1998 – 2005: Chairman, Department Graduate Committee, FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, Tallahassee , Florida. Duties  included curriculum development and implementation, course development, overseeing graduate admissions, Ph.D. program implementation, and coordination with College and University administration.
	1991 - present: Director, Infrastructure Research  Laboratory, FAMU - FSU College of Engineering. Duties have included procurement of external grants for highway bridge improvement, materials and hazard mitigation/preparedness/recovery research, formation and expansion of multi-disciplinary research groups, mentoring of younger faculty, graduate students and staff members.
	2001 – 2005: Chairman, Department Fund Raising Committee, FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, Tallahassee, Florida. Duties include establishing department needs for external funds, developing suitable proposals, establishing contact with industrial entities, and expand fund raising efforts.
