  • Stainless steel to plastic

  • Usually takes six people to assemble two a day. Trying to get it down to two people.

  • Need to draw parts in Pro-E

  • Weight and labor Cost

  • Make sure material works with chemicals(as well as stainless steel does)

  • Timeline (need ASAP)

  • Wrote down list of things to look at for plastics and stainless steel

  • Properties to compare:

    • Chemical resistance: bleach, waxes, water, detergents

    • Yield strength

    • Tensile strength

    • Elastic modulus (tensile modulus)

    • Cost

    • Corrosion

    • Weight

  • Waxes contain bleaches

  • Waxes: no effect on nylon 6
