1. Project Title: Development of a Wheel Force/Torque Sensor for Autonomous ATV

2. Project Objectives:

 

Developed and test a sensor that is capable of mounting to an ATV and quantifying the

Interaction between the wheel and the surface it is traveling over.

 

3. What was accomplished the last two weeks on individual tasks? (Please include

Representative data and supporting documents.)

 

Preparation for a Midterm Presentation. We all went through and discussed the slides needed and who will be presenting. We also decided which models will be represented and     which ones will not be.  

4. Summary of problems encountered and actions taken (and by whom):

 

All arts are in but final circuit is not developed, the current circuit is not acceptable

5. Work planned for the next period and the person(s) responsible:

This meeting was in regards the parts needed to order and outstanding required parts. At this point the nuts, bolts and battery have not been reviewed and the list for the mechanical components are still in work and review

4. Summary of problems encountered and actions taken (and by whom):

 

A proper circuit diagram for the proposed circuit and drawings of the sensor for the machine shop.  

 

5. Work planned for the next period and the person(s) responsible:

 

Randy-sensor drawings and required parts

Tosin- Circuit drawing needed for concept to be produced

Purpose:  

·       Weekly Meeting to discuss progress

·       Discussed outcome of 1/29 staff meeting

·       Reviewed designed circuit and how to reduce noise

 

 

Outcome:

·       Procured a new order list 

·       Provided machine shop with metal needed to develop a prototype

·       Distributed assignments for up and coming week

 

Assignments:

·       Marc: transfer calibration data to matlab, order new parts

·       Matthew/Randy: Determine ETA for prototype from machine shop provide any support req’d

·       Tosin: Determine ways to reduce noise in the circuit(filters, capacitors)

·       John: Program Microcontroller
