Meet our team:

From left to right: David Litter, Martina Kvitkovicova, Leah Evans, Zachary Silver, Nestor Aguirre, Hebert Lopez

About us:

Zachary Silver

Zachary Silver

CAD Engineer

zs14d@my.fsu.edu

Zac is a senior mechanical engineer student and is graduating in May of 2020. He is pursuing a career in the aerospace industry to expand his knowledge of material science and design. Zac is in charge of the CAD of the entire airplane as well as 3D printing its components.

Leah Evans

Leah Evans

Aeronautics Engineer & Financial Advisor

le17d@my.fsu.edu

Leah is a senior mechanical engineering student focusing on aerospace and systems engineering. She will graduate with her B.S. in May of 2020. After graduation, she wants to enter the workforce as a system engineer for an aerospace company. Leah applied her skills as an RC airplane hobbyist to aid the team. Her role in the project included designing, developing, and testing the aerodynamic components and ensuring integration with other systems.

David Litter

David Litter

3D Printing Engineer

dvl17@my.fsu.edu

David is a senior mechanical engineering student that graduates in may of 2020. He plans to work within the aerospace industry. David works with Zachary Silver on CAD and 3D printing the different components of the airplane.

Nestor Aguirre

Nestor Aguirre

Aeronautics & 3D Printing Engineer

nfa17b@my.fsu.edu

Nestor Aguirre is a senior at the Famu-FSU College of Engineering studying Mechanical Engineering and is interested in the aerospace industry. He works on the fuselage dimenssions, structure, and how to connect different sections of the fuselage to other components. He also works on the CAD for the fuselage and the location of cargo and electrical components.

Martina Kvitkovicova

Martina Kvitkovicova

Electronics Test Engineer

mk17m@my.fsu.edu

Martina is a senior studying electrical engineering at FSU. Her role in this project was to ensure all the electrical equipment aboard the airplane works correctly and to the desired outcome such as the servo’s arm movement on the control surfaces. She will be graduating in May 2020 and entering employment to apply what she learned in her past experiences as an undergraduate researcher and to obtain new valuable skills as an engineer.

Hebert Lopez

Hebert Lopez

Electrical Design Engineer

hml15@my.fsu.edu

Hebert is a senior electrical engineering student graduating in May of 2020. He plans on continuing his studies to obtain a PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on either Power Systems or Power Electronics. His roles in this project were to make the circuit diagram for the airplane, test the circuit, and assemble it in the airplane.
