For Homework, an aluminum plate with the Top and Left surfaces at 0˚ C and the Right and Bottom surfaces at 120˚ C:

1.      Use finite difference to develop the sum of nodal relationships of a square metal plate with temperatures of a 120˚ C on the bottom and right surface and the other surfaces being 0˚ C using nine nodal points.  Example: T1+T2+T3+T4-4*T5=0. Use MathCAD to solve for the points on the metal plate.
2.      Now compare those results to the equation for Laplace 2-D Steady Heat and plot the results for the 2-D Steady Heat Equation.
3.      Refer  to Dr. Shih’s notes.
