The project has three main phases, outlined below. The team expects to be completely finished
with all work by the end of April.
Phase I (September - October)
- Define project scope, goals, and functional objectives
- Purchase key components
- Download required software
- Verify component functionally
Phase II (November - February)
- Create a multiple pulse waveform in Simulink for the GRC source file
- Finish VHDL code that generates PPS reference
- Add existing VHDL for switching between transmit/receive paths
- Get the VCO source board from TI programmed with the needed frequency
- Mechanize the RF components in the systems box
Phase III (March - April)
- Test FPGA code that does transitions between pulses
- Update the SNR prediction spreadsheet
- Incorparate signal integration to ensure viable SNR
- Run test with fully integrated system in real world conditions
- Present final project results
