Water-Heating Unit Modifications
The water-heating unit was modified so that the water in the water-heating unit would not reach temperatures above 100 degrees Celsius. This was done by adding a bypass piping system and a distiller. The bypass piping system consist of piping and a valve that diverted the hot exhaust gas from the water-heating unit to a distiller. The valve is manually controlled by the user when the user desires to have hot water. Figure 4, below shows the bypass system being silver brazed. The housing where the distiller is housed
was welded copper that was 12” by 12”. It is shown in Figure 5.
