Welcome To Our Project
We are a team of Senior Mechanical Engineering students enrolled at the FSU/FAMU College of Engineering. We have partnered with Danfoss Turbocor to complete our Senior Design requirement by implementing one of the changes they desire in order to collect operating data from their line of compressors. This will enable them to better monitor the performance of the units and add even more value to their products for the end users.
Turbocor started as an Australian company attempting to create a superior compressor. The company moved from Melbourne to Montreal in 2000. In 2004 they created a 50/50 joint venture with Danfoss and became Danfoss Turbocor. One year later they moved to Tallahassee and opened their current manufacturing facility. In 2013, Danfoss bought the remaining portion of the company and took full control of Danfoss Turbocor's line of compressors. Today they are leaders in the field of oilless compressors.
