Participating an a "Stem Engagement/Community Outreach" was a required task within the USLI competition. Our team decided to go all in by participating in the Gulf Coast Air Salute show. We used this event to show off our designs & provided engaging activities for the younger generations.
This experience was a fun & exciting change of pace for the team. We got to show off our hard work, take in the incredible aerobatics, and inspire people of all ages to take interest into aviation & rocketry.
Aside from displaying & explaining all aspects of our design to viewers, we set up some simple activities for kids to engage in. With the help of FSU InSPIRE, we set up water-powered bottle rockets for kids to build and launch on the scene.
