The Goals of the Project :

  • Automation based on real-time pricing.
  • Control of loads based on user input.
  • Communication via 2.4 Ghz RF/Wireless technology.
  • Energy efficient and low power consumptiom.
  • "Smart" algorithm discerning critical from non-critical loads.
  • Real-Time Web interface control.

The system is designed to be use in both residential and commercial settings, in which real time pricing is actively provided by the utility company. The system is also designed for a customer that desires to control loads over a network.

Design Requirements:

  • Control of loads with Controller - BeagleBone Black.
  • Communication via NRF24L01+ 2.4 Ghz Transceiver.
  • Algorithm in charge of automation .
  • Real-Time Web interface or Android application for control .
