150 employees, is looking for a young engineer with two to seven years
of experience to manage projects and tasks in Water Resources, Stormwater, and Land
Development in its Fort Myers,

design and local government permitting. The company offers
excellent benefits and is flexible and generous with its
employees. It is employee owned and has a very
laid back culture with
little politics. The president and the CEO are project
managers. It
seems like a supportive environment in which a young engineer could
grow. For more information, contact Justin Tomsovic (e-mail: justin_tomsovic@hotmail.com) at the Snowdon Group (http://www.envjobsource.com), which is a headhunting firm who place engineers at environmental consulting firms. |

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)
in Chipley, FL will soon be
posting an engineering job vacancy in Drainage
Design. Annual salary range for the position is $32,489.34 -
$59,792.20. The position is full-time and will assist in the review and
analysis of drainage reports, the preparation of bridge hydraulic
reports, and the design of rural and urban drainage facilities. It is
necessary that the applicant have a basic knowledge of civil
engineering principles, specifically hydrology and hydraulics. As an aside, the job is located in Northwest Florida in a small town in Washington County. The location is far from metropolitan; from certain offices, one could probably see cows grazing in a pasture. However, the job is very laid-back and has flexible hours. It is imperative that the applicant understand that "small" doesn't even compare to Lake City. The best way to get an application or to get information on vacancies would be through the internet at https:/jobs.myflorida.com. When asked for search criteria, the region of choice would be "West." Or if the applicant would rather speak to a person, contact James Kapinos (alum) at 1-888-638-0250 ext. 598 (james.kapinos@dot.state.fl.us) |
