Smart Street Light

My name is Thor Cutler. I moved to Florida from England when I was 9 and have lived here ever since. Come this spring, I will graduate from FSU with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Economics. Upon graduation I plan to move to Orlando to work at Lockheed Martin as a systems engineer.

Team Position: Technical Lead

I am currently the team’s technical lead, so while working on the Smart Street Light Proof of Concept Project, so far I have:
• Built this website
• Derived project needs
• Written project requirements based off of needs
• Created a test plan to verify requirements
• Determined what the data frames transmitted by the XBee Devices should consist of
• Xbee Mesh Networking
• Set-up the Raspberry Pi to receive signals from Xbee Devices
• Designed a UI to interpret Xbee information
• Participated in the Engineering Shark Tank Competition
