Denia Del Cid is originally from Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She graduated from La Estancia School with honors and obtained the degrees of Bachiller en Ciencias y Letras and High School. Two months after graduating, her passion for technology and her thirst for knowledge drove her to pursue a new adventure. Denia left her home country and moved to Tallahassee, Florida to pursue her degree in Computer Engineering. Before transferring to Florida State University, she attended Tallahassee Community College, where she obtained her Associates in Arts degree. She is currently a senior at Florida State University and works at the Computer Repair Center. When she completes her Computer Engineering, B.S. degree, she hopes to pursue a career in the fields of Software Development or Information Technology and further in the future attend graduate school.
When she is not at work or doing homework, she enjoys reading about new and upcoming technology and developments, programming, getting involved in student organizations, going to the gym, volunteering, dancing, trying out new foods and restaurants, and binge watching series on Hulu. The organizations is currently most involved with are the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) and InternatioNole, both at Florida State University.
