Postdocs
Dr. Iago Dal-Ri dos Santos
Dr. Dal-Ri dos Santos started his appointment as a postdoctoral scholar in our group in February 2026, right after he obtained his PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Florida State University. His research interests include computational fluid dynamics and particle-laden flows, with focus on environmental problems and wildland fire propagation dynamics.
Graduate Students
Ritambhara Dubey
Ph.D. Candidate
Ritambhara joined Florida State University as a Ph.D. student in 2020. She received her M.S. in Thermal and Fluids from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Government Engineering College Raipur. Before joining FSU, she has worked in Tata Motors as a Climate Control Engineer and in Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi as a project assistant. Other than academics she enjoys hiking and traveling.
Harikrishnan M.
Ph.D. Student
Harikrishnan holds a master's degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu, and a bachelor's degree from Cochin University of Science and Technology. He joined FSU in the fall of 2024. His current research involves computational fluid dynamics, centered around atmospheric flow dynamics and the transport of particles therein. In his free time, he enjoys walking, acquiring new skills, and exploring different places.
Mir Muahtasim Islam
Ph.D. Student
Mir joined Florida State University in Spring 2026 as a graduate student in Mechanical
Engineering. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering
and Technology and worked as an instructor at BIMT, Bangladesh before moving to the
USA. His current research focuses on computational fluid dynamics and wildfire
modeling using FDS, with an emphasis on wildland fire behavior and heat release
dynamics. In his free time, he enjoys exploring new technologies, reading novels, and
learning new skills.
Kyle Evans
Master's Student
Kyle earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Florida State University in 2024 and started his master’s right after. His current research involves modeling and computational investigation of particle transports in turbulent flows under different complex conditions. He is also interested in propulsion systems and aerospace. In his free time, Kyle enjoys gaming and traveling.
